Canada Post ID Verification Services will be temporarily unavailable from Friday, June 6 at 9:00 PM ET until Sunday, June 8 at 7:00 AM ET due to scheduled system maintenance. During this time: You won’t be able to create new DSS records or retrieve results. Retail locations will not have access to the database. All Canada Post ID services will be offline. Once maintenance is complete, the services will be restored, and any pending submissions that require Canada Post ID verification will be processed and sent out to applicants. We are closely monitoring the ongoing Canada Post strike and its potential impact on in-person ID verification services.

Applicants who require in-person ID verification from Canada Post will typically be directed to three nearby locations. One of these locations is usually a Shoppers Drug Mart (Canada Post Outlet). Given the current circumstances, we strongly recommend that applicants in need of ID verification services during the strike visit a Shoppers Drug Mart location, as these locations are not likely to be affected by the disruption.
